Surviving the Domestic Jungle

I love this time if year. It is warm but not hot, it is cool but not cold and everything is coming back to life! The grass is growing a little faster than I like but all in all, this is the best time of year. Our street is alive and green and being we moved here in December, everything was brown and dead looking so it is quite different. It is almost motivating me to plant flowers….almost! I kill every plant that gets within 2 feet of me. I do NOT have a green thumb to say the least but I think I may buy a big pot and try to have some flowers at the front door. My only little hiccup in the plan is bees. I HATE BEES!!! Phobia hate bees!!I would love to have flowers but if it attracts one extra bee, they are being ripped up. Maybe there are bee repelling flowers although that sounds impossible being that bees are the reason (one of) that flowers get pollinated. I really enjoy lavender and that doesn’t seem like a big bee attractor. I don’t know…I will have to google it but either way, this weather has me wanting to be all outdoorsy and green thumb (ish). We will see how far I get with this plan but I think for sure I will take my kids for a walk in the park. This is the only time you can do it without getting heat stroke!! Although, we don’t live in such a humid climate, it is still a torturous hell in the summer. The only way the summer is tolerable is if it is spent on the beach. Ok, that’s not true but I want to go to the beach badly! I love taking my kids to the beach and getting sand everywhere! It is always such a fun time for our family. Hmmm…..maybe we will take a trip!!
